Porting a client's existing business number will allow their contacts to both call and text the number in order to engage with the company or service.
Rather than a full port, the imported aspect of the business line is partial (ex: externalTN). Meaning that the system only ports the texting capabilities of the number to the platform. Calling will be unaffected.
Certain documents are required to port an existing business line.

With the required documents in hand, follow the steps below to Import / Text Enable a client's existing business line.
Step 1.
Login to your Master Account and Click on Account Information
Step 2.
Under Account Information select Messaging Codes.
Step 3.
Locate and click the Import Existing Button in the top right hand corner of the page.
Step 4.
The next page reminds of the importance of the LOA (Letter of Authorization). The letter is required to port a client number to the system. It must include the client's signature and the completed form must be uploaded during the porting process.
Depending on the type of number being ported (TF# or 10-DLC) additional documents will need to be completed.

Step 5.
Enter the number to be ported in the space provided and click the Check Status button
Step 6.
The system will confirm that the number is available to port. Click the Continue To Next Step button.
Step 7.
The information submitted here needs to match the information provided on the LOA. If it differs from the existing company information on the account, use the fields provided to enter new information as shown on the LOA. Then, click the Continue button to proceed to the next step.
Step 8.
Click the Browse button to select and then Upload the completed LOA form.
The porting request cannot be completed without attaching an LOA.
Step 9.
The LOA only serves to signify that the company desires to text enable their business line on the mobile platform.
Additional documents are required to verify the use case and register the number so that the company can use it to successfully send messages.
If the number being ported is a Toll-Free Number (ex: area codes like 800, 888, 877, etc...), then the Toll Free Verification Form must also be completed and emailed to support@ivisionmobile.com. Once received support and will open a ticket to track the progress of the request.
If the number being ported is a 10-DLC (ex: local area code), then the Brand Registration must also be completed. This submission automatically delivers to support and will open a ticket to track the progress of the request.
