Subject: New CTA Requirement for TF Verifications Effective 3/17/2025

Upstream partners are implementing changes to TF messaging code vetting requirements for mixed-use codes effective March 17, 2025. Please review the details below and ensure the your Toll-Free (TF) verification requests follow these requirements. Requests that do not follow these requirements will be rejected.

Requirements - Calls to Action (aka CTAs) used to opt contacts to a mobile program that sends different types of messages (ex: marketing and receipt texts, or marketing & appointment reminders) must collect opt-ins to each type of message separately.  For Example, when collecting opt-ins to marketing and appointment reminders:

  • Create a webform with two separate campaign check boxes: one for marketing texts and one for appointment reminders.
  • Create a webform that redirects submissions to join appointment reminders to another webform used to collect opt-ins to marketing texts.
  • Create a text call to Action with 2 keywords or 2 QR Codes, where they can opt-in to appointment reminders and marketing texts separately.

This new requirement, and the previous requirements for 2025 posted in January, were discussed during a reseller workshop on 2/20. You can review than brief discussion and slide presentation below.
