Subject: MMS Gateway Errors sent on Short-Codes
Our team is currently working with our aggregation partner to resolve an issue with MMS messages failing to process when sending on a short-code. MMS messages sent on short-codes are receiving a "gateway error." However, SMS messages on short-codes remain unaffected.

Our programmers have reported that they have resolved the issue and MMS messages are sending as expected on short-codes.
CAUSE: Our upstream partner's US1 region infrastructure included configuration referencing a subset of MMS processing servers that were scheduled for decommission on 5/9/2023 resulting in a percentage of MMS traffic in that region to return the 502 error response you experienced.
ACTION: The system will not automatically resend failed messages. We do recommend checking your sent logs to ensure successful delivery of any MMS messages sent between 5/9 and this morning. Any failed messages will need to be resent by the user.
